Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They allow websites to remember information between visits.
DeepWorking uses essential sign-in cookies and Google Analytics cookies for aggregate usage stats — no advertising or ad-retargeting cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
next-auth.session-token | Keeps you signed in after Google login | 30 days |
next-auth.csrf-token | Protects sign-in forms from CSRF attacks | Session |
_ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes users for aggregate usage stats | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics — persists session state for aggregate usage stats | 2 years |
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage to store settings (theme, character, sounds) and focus statistics on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless you sign in, at which point statistics are synced to your account.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate product usage — this sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies listed above. We do not use Facebook Pixel, ad-retargeting pixels, or any other third-party tracking scripts. Google OAuth (sign-in) may also set its own cookies on google.com during the authentication flow — this is outside our control and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent sign-in from working. The timer and all local features will continue to work without cookies.
